Corporal Punishment is a military fitness program based in
Vancouver BC which uses the outdoor setting of Jericho Beach,
Quilchena Park and China Park at the VCC-Clark skytrain stop.
Our team of military instructors is Unique to Vancouver, bringing you an intense outdoor workout program without the yoga mat or pilates ball and no indoor gym membership to worry about. We employ core stability, and body weight resistance movement along with sculpting and toning exercises plus just the right mix of cardio and flexibility. Our program includes running on hills and trails plus the occassional crossfit routine. You can expect to participate in cardio and fat burning sessions every day in order to boost your metabolism before the strength building workout. Different classes will focus on different areas of the body in order to build strength and balance in your legs, arms and core and back. The Corporal Punishment program is specifically designed to increase your performance through adaptation to physical demand and our fitness sessions are typically comprised of 80% women of all ages and background. Specific exercises extracted from military workout programs go beyond the typical "pushups, situps, dips, squats" and focus on form and muscle confusion. Our adapted program has proven to be very effective at burning fat and increasing overall strength in our clients. I firmly believe that too many people are sucked into the myth that a 1-month "b**tcamp" can fix all their problems. Its only a start and real fitness comes from creating a plan you can stick to and enjoy in the long term. Corporal Punishment IS such a program, and shuns the dreaded B-word in favour of functional outdoor fitness which allows us to perform everyday movements better and without strain or injury. Typically a client will stay with us for 2-3 months, try another program out of curiosity and then return to CP telling us that there is nothing else that comes close to our level of hardcore workouts and positive reinforcement.
